Vitamin D3 Dosage :
According to doctor's recommendation, we should not take vitamin d3 more than 4000 IU a day unless your doctor prescribes you.
It's good time to take a vitamin d with a food. It depends on the prescription form of vitamin D. So, consult with your doctor or pharmacist that what is better for you.
If you are osteoporosis patient and your age are above than 50 years old, You should take 800IU to 100 IU ( 20 TO 25 mcg ) a day of vitamin D.
For treatment of rickets in children, Doctors recommends giving your child vitamin D between 12,000 and 50000 IU ( 0.3 to 12.5mg a day )
Vitamin D3 Overdose :
If you suspect an overdose, you should contact the doctor or emergency room immediately.
